What color am I allowed to paint my front door?
Staining of the front door is the responsibility of the homeowner. Suggested stain is a gel stain that is formulated for use on metal doors. The color you use will depend on the brand you choose. The Olympic Brand oil-based gel stain color 41607 traditional mahogany seems to be the best match in that brand. Choose a color that is close to the existing color of the door. It is also suggested that you add a topcoat of satin finish polyurethane that is formulated for outside use such as Helmsman.
When is trash and recycling collected?
Tuesday mornings. Trash and recycling bins should be placed curbside no earlier than Monday evening and returned to the rear of buildings no later than Wednesday, 8AM.
How much are homeowners' dues?
As of January 1, 2007, homeowners' dues at The Village at Umstead Park are $160 per month.
Where do I send my homeowners' dues?
You can request a payment coupon booklet from HRW. Otherwise, mail your dues to: The Village at Umstead Park HOA c/o HRW, Inc. 3815 Barrett Drive Raleigh, NC 27609
When are HO dues due?
Dues must be postmarked no later than the 5th day of each month.

What do Homeowners' dues cover?
Dues cover all of the following and also other things (for a more detailed list of Association responsibilities, see the Declaration and By-Laws). If you are a homeowner at The Village at Umstead Park, you may view a more detailed yearly budget at the offices of HRW, Inc.
